Open consultation

We have commenced public consultation with a wide range of stakeholders to inform the development of the standards. The feedback we receive influences the decisions we make.

There will be 3 rounds of consultation. We will update this page as we proceed through the consultations.

The first round of consultation has now closed.

Environmental scan and literature review

This review summarises literature relevant to the development of accreditation standards for education and training programs for pharmacist prescribers in Australia. It includes a review of international and national literature of pharmacist prescribing, and accreditation standards of other prescribing health professions.

Consultation paper 1

The purpose of this paper is to provide people with the information to start a conversation, generate feedback, and maintain the dialogue.

It is the first of 2 consultation papers. It should be read in conjunction with the environmental scan and literature review.

Publication of submissions and feedback

We will publish a summary of the major themes derived from the comments and feedback we receive from stakeholders, along with our response to the matters raised from this consultation.

We will publish submissions and feedback unless it is requested that part or all of the submission remains confidential. This includes the names of the respondent and/or organisation making the submission. Material supplied in confidence, should be clearly marked ‘IN CONFIDENCE’.

We will not place on our website, or make available to the public, submissions containing offensive or defamatory comments, or submissions outside the scope of this consultation.
