Am I eligible to sit an exam?

We deliver Intern Written Examinations on behalf of the Pharmacy Board of Australia (PBA) and Pharmacy Council of New Zealand (PCNZ).

The requirements to sit the Australian and New Zealand Intern Written Examinations are different. This page outlines the requirements of each.

Australian Intern Written Examination

Eligibility

You may register to sit the Australian Intern Written Examination if you have completed 30% of your PBA approved supervised practice hours by the date of the exam.

How does the APC verify eligibility?

We send a list of candidates to the PBA for verification after the registration closing date for each session.

What will happen if you are not eligible?

We will be notified by the PBA if you do not meet the requirements to sit the examination. Your examination registration will be cancelled and a partial examination fee will be refunded to you.

We will inform you by email if your examination registration is cancelled.
