The Australian and New Zealand Intern Written Examinations are computer delivered examinations.
The registration process for the Intern Written Examination is outlined below.
Step 1: Check your eligibility
Make sure you are eligible to sit the examination. If you register for an examination but have not met the eligibility requirements, your registration may be cancelled.
Step 2: Check examination dates
Check when the next examination is being delivered and the registration deadlines for each examination by looking at the dates listed on our website.
Step 3: Apply online on the APC web portal
Go to the online eligibility check to commence your registration.

Step 4: Provide your details and request special accommodation (if required)
Login to the APC web portal with the email you registered with during your eligibility check.
You will be prompted to provide use with some basic information to get you started. You will need to provide information like your contact details, university and ITP.

Step 5: Create a Pearson VUE web account
If you are a first-time examination candidate, you will need to create a Pearson VUE web account. If you have already taken an examination via Pearson VUE, you can go directly to Step 6.
To create a Pearson VUE web account, you will need to provide some personal information including:
- Your name
- Your email address
It can take up to 24 hours to create a Pearson VUE web account so make sure you leave enough time before registrations close.
You should ring Pearson VUE if you have any questions or encounter any issues with your web account creation on Australia (Toll free) 1800 023 095.
Step 6: Sign in and schedule an examination
After you receive your Pearson VUE web account, you can then apply for your examination at www.pearsonvue.com/apc/
When you login to your PearsonVue web account you will need to select:
- The examination city and venue
- The examination date
- The examination time
Step 7: Pay for your examination
Once you have confirmed your examination details, you will need to pay for your examination by credit card. Information about examination fees can be found at Fees.
Step 8: Confirmation email
Once your examination details are confirmed and payment processed, you will receive a confirmation email verifying your details and listing examination rules and policies. It is very important that you read the confirmation email carefully and contact us if you need to make any changes to your personal records.
