Call for Expressions of Interest to present at the 2026 IPE Colloquium™ event

The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) invites expressions of interest (EOI) to present at their 2026 IPE Colloquium™ event.

Taking place on Tuesday, 5 May 2026 in Canberra, the event is underpinned by the theme Empowering voices: Educating health professionals for respectful and inclusive conversations. This theme will explore how we equip future health professionals with the capabilities to have meaningful, inclusive conversations that help our communities and colleagues feel heard, respected, and empowered.

Under this overarching theme, APC invites presentations on case studies and/or activities that have provided opportunities for students to build skills for respectful and inclusive conversations.

Presentation focus

APC encourages teams of two educators and health professionals from across health professions to submit an EOI. Areas of focus could include (but are not limited to):

• An educational activity that has been effective in building skills in students to have respectful and inclusive conversations.
• An effective case study based on lived experience that provides examples of best practice, that has nurtured effective and inclusive communication.
• Guidance on how to design and implement educational tools and frameworks for inclusive conversations.
• Case study and/or activity includes element/s of interprofessional education in relation to the abstract theme.

The selected presenters will receive sponsored event registration, round-trip travel within Australia, and accommodation for one night. There’s also an opportunity to involve students in your presentation to share their perspective.

• Submissions Open: Monday 13 October 2025
• Submissions Close: 11:59pm Sunday 14 December 2025
• Presenters Announced: late January 2026

Submission requirements

To submit an EOI, applicants must provide:

1. Abstract (max. 300 words) detailing the case study/activity, theme alignment, and key learnings.
2. 1-minute Video featuring the presenters providing an elevator pitch of their proposed presentation.
