Accreditation fees and charges

We've set out the accreditation fees that will apply if you're:

an education provider, OR
a continuing professional development (CPD) accrediting organisation

All fees are non-refundable.

Australian degree programs

First accredited program

This is the first pharmacy degree program your university offers. It may be at a bachelor's or master's degree level.

Initial accreditation assessment	You want to apply to accredit your first program for the first time You've received an invoice from us upon submission of your accreditation application	$33,280 per program
Annual fee	Your program is currently accredited You've received an invoice from us (usually in December)	$19,960 per program per year

Additional accredited programs

These are subsequent degree programs that you deliver in addition to your first accredited program. They may be at a bachelor's or master's degree level. They can be:

a different version of your first program (for example a double degree incorporating a bachelor of pharmacy)
multicampus delivery of your first program
a separate program (for example an MPharm in addition to a BPharm)

If you stop offering your first accredited program, one of your additional programs will become your first program when we calculate your fees.

We add these fees to the cost of your first accredited program.

Intern training programs (ITPs)

Annual fee	Your ITP is currently accredited You've sent us your intern numbers as at 31 March for the current year You've received an invoice from us (usually in April)	$64 per intern per year

Pharmacist education programs

These fees apply for pharmacist education programs for registered pharmacists. They are not programs that lead to registration as a pharmacist. It may be for a Medication Management Review (MMR) Pharmacist, Aged Care On-site Pharmacist (ACOP), or Pharmacist Prescriber programs.

First accredited program

This is the first pharmacist education program your organisation offers.

Please note: An initial assessment fee applies on every occasion that you apply for accreditation of program(s). If you apply for multiple programs at once, you are only required to pay a single ‘first accredited program - initial accreditation assessment fee’. However, they must be accredited against the same set of accreditation standards. For example, when applying for a standalone MMR Pharmacist or ACOP education program within a single application, you will pay a single application fee.

Additional accredited programs

These are subsequent pharmacist education programs that you deliver in addition to your first accredited program. They may be:

a different version of your first program
a separate program accredited against the same set of accreditation standards as the first program. For example, an MMR Pharmacist education program if your first program is an ACOP education program.

We add these fees to the cost of your first accredited program.

Notification of change (NoC) to an accredited program

A change to an accredited program may affect whether it meets the accreditation standards.

To check for this, our Accreditation Committee (the Committee) first reviews your proposed change. If they class your change as 'material', we then arrange an Accreditation Assessment Team assessment

The fee we charge for this covers an Accreditation Assessment Team and our expenses.

Continuing professional development (CPD) accrediting organisations

International degree programs

These are pharmacy degree programs that are delivered outside Australia, and are accredited against Australian standards.

Initial accreditation assessment	We've accepted your application to accredit a degree program you offer outside of Australia for the first time You've received an invoice from us upon submission of your accreditation application	$16,635 per program
