Eligibility

You may be eligible to sit the exam via OnVUE if all of the following apply:

  • You live or work in a location where the nearest test centre is a significant distance or travel-time away.
  • Your computer meets the technical requirements to support sitting the exam without interruption.
  • You have a stable internet connection to complete the exam.
  • You have access to a quiet room where you will not be disturbed for the duration of the exam.

Be aware of technical difficulties

Please note, it is recommended that candidates sit their exam at a test centre. Our exams are designed to be delivered in a test centre environment. This ensures the best, most secure, and smooth experience for candidates. Candidates taking the exam remotely may face unexpected technical difficulties that could delay their ability to complete the scheduled exam.

If you encounter technical issues on exam day, you will need to take your exam at a test centre. However, this relocation will depend on availability, which may cause delays and potentially push your exam completion to the next available session in the following months.

Supporting documents

To proceed and apply for approval to sit your exam remotely via OnVUE, please complete the following:

1) Provide proof of current residential address such as:

  • Drivers licence
  • Utility bill
  • Phone bill

2) Provide a screenshot of a successful system test on your computer:

  • Review OnVUE system requirements.
  • Run through the entire system test.
  • Complete the latest updates on your device.

How to register

Candidates cannot register themselves for OnVUE in the system. Our delivery provider Pearson VUE must register eligible candidates manually.

  1. Register from the candidate portal dashboard and select Yes for special accommodation required. You will be prompted to upload supporting documents on this page.

  2. Once you have submitted the required documents, please register for your nearest test centre and complete payment. This will ensure your booking is confirmed.

All supporting documents must be submitted BEFORE the registration closing date in order to be applied.

  3. If your request is approved, Pearson VUE will send you an updated exam confirmation with OnVUE appointment details. Please allow at least 5 business days for an email notification of your application outcome.

If your request is not approved, you will be notified via email and will need to sit the exam at the test centre that you selected.

Cancellations

Cancellation fees will not apply if you are unable to sit the exam at a test centre if we do not approve your request for OnVUE. However, in all other circumstances, the Candidate Refund Policy will apply.
