We are committed to delivering assessments that support safe and competent professional practice. Our Assessment Governance is structured across three complementary groups, each with a distinct role:

  • The Assessment Governance Committee provides oversight of the assessment system and quality assurance across exam processes and performance.
  • The Exam Results Review Panel conducts an independent and structured post-exam review of questions. They make decisions on specific items where needed to support fair and defensible outcomes.
  • The Assessment Technical Working Group is convened as required to provide expert advice on specific exam or technical matters.

Together, these groups bring a breadth of expertise and experience across health professions. They support a robust governance framework that underpins confidence in APC exam outcomes.

Assessment Governance Committee

The Assessment Governance Committee (AGC) oversees assessment processes and makes decisions related to assessments in accordance with Board-approved policies. It comprises members with expertise in assessment and regulatory decision-making. It ensures that APC assessments for various pathways to pharmacist registration are robust, consistent, and aligned with best practice standards.

Exam Results Review Panel

The Exam Results Review Panel (ERRP) functions as a delegated decision-making body within frameworks approved by the Board and overseen by the Assessment Governance Committee. Its responsibilities are limited to post-exam review and scoring finalisation activities to support the integrity, validity and defensibility of APC exam outcomes.
