The APC People and Culture Committee is a standing committee of the Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) that makes recommendations and advises the APC Board ('the Board') on matters relating to people and culture.

The Committee is dedicated to actively contributing to an inclusive and culturally safe environment where every individual feels respected, valued and supported.

Tasks

The People and Culture Committee:

  • provides advice on people and culture strategies
  • provides advice on compliance with legal requirements and best practice
  • provides governance, oversight and advice relating to the composition, structure, evaluation and planning for the Board, Directors and committees of the Board
  • monitors compliance with people and culture strategies, policies, and processes, including the areas of:
    • human resources
    • workplace health and safety
    • diversity and equity
    • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander commitments
    • legal, regulatory, and statutory obligations in relation to People and Culture matters.

Members

The Board appoints two of its Directors, two Directors selected through an EOI process, including one Non‑Executive Director and one First Nations Director, and one independent member who is not a Board Director.
