Case based discussion

Case-based discussions (CbD) are retrospective explorations of cases or scenarios by interns and supervisors. The CbD tools includes a videos, guidance and written exemplars on how to execute short but effective case based discussions in pharmacy workplaces. An intern assessment and feedback form is also provided for use by supervisors.

Entrustable Professional Activities

Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) are tasks or activities that form part of the work that a qualified health professional undertakes. The suite of EPAs currently include dispensing, compounding and patient counselling activities.

Videos, guidance, exemplars and a variety of templates are provided to assist interns and supervisors in their understanding of EPAs and how to assess EPAs.

Health promotion

This tool comprises guidance documents, templates and examples to help interns structure the design, implementation and evaluation of health promotion activities carried out in pharmacy workplaces. An assessment and feedback template is also included to assist supervisors assess and provide feedback on the health promotion activity.

Reflective practice

Reflection and reflective practice are critical skills to help learners draw meaning from experience. This tool includes a reflective statement template for use by interns to document their reflections and an assessment rubric to enable supervisors provide feedback on intern reflections. Completed examples for each of the templates are also available.
