The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) has elected a Chair and Deputy Chair to lead the strategic direction of our organisation over the coming years.

At the June Board meeting, Associate Professor Sue Kirsa was re-elected as Chair for a further 2 year term and Professor Sarah Roberts-Thomson was elected as Deputy Chair.

Sue is the Director of Pharmacy at Monash Health and Adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University Centre for Medication Use and Safety, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Sue has been Chair of APC since 2018 and on the Board since 2016.

Sarah has been an APC Director since 2018 and is also a member of the APC Examination Committee. She is the Head of the School of Pharmacy at the University of Queensland, previously having been Associate Dean (Academic) for the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Queensland.

The Board also thanked Professor Iqbal Ramzan for his service as Deputy Chair for the past 2½ years. Iqbal remains on the Board of APC as a director and member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Monitoring Committee.
