The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) ensures pharmacists have the skills and knowledge to deliver effective health care.

We are the authority that:

  • accredits pharmacy programs in Australia on behalf of the Pharmacy Board of Australia (PharmBA)
  • makes accreditation recommendations to the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand (PCNZ)
  • sets and maintains standards for pharmacy education

We are looking for individuals to join our Accreditation Committee.

Accreditation Committee members make decisions on accreditation of pharmacy degree and intern training programs, and CPD accrediting organisations.

The skills-based committee draws upon the expertise of the pharmacy profession, academia and the community. This enables the committee to make robust decisions and recommendations on the accreditation of pharmacy programs in Australia and New Zealand.

We have up to five positions to fill from July 2020. We invite all interested and qualified individuals to apply.

Please see the expressions of interest form.

This is a remunerated position, with payment made according to the APC Remuneration guidelines.

We make appointments to the committee according to the APC Accreditation Committee By-Law.

We also consider the:

  • expertise, experience and skills of current and applying members, AND
  • the gender and cultural diversity of the committee.

Applications should be sent to accreditation@pharmacycouncil.org.au by Sunday 19 July 2020.

If you have any questions or would like further information about these positions, please contact Glenys Wilkinson, APC Executive Director Professional Services on Glenys.Wilkinson@pharmacycouncil.org.au.
