Paul Sinclair AM, President-elect of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) will be the speaker at this year's Emeritus Professor Lloyd Sansom AO Distinguished Lecture Series.
The Australian Pharmacy Council's annual event will take place on Monday 13 November 2023 in Canberra, where they will also announce the winners of the inaugural Erica Sainsbury Awards.
Sinclair is the first Australian to be elected as the President of FIP and the Chair of the Board of Pharmaceutical Practice.
He says broadening scopes of practice provide great opportunities within pharmacy education. Sinclair will be drawing on his international experience within community practice to talk about the importance of education and regulation and how they complement each other.
"We very much look forward to hearing from Paul as he explores the union of pharmacy education and regulation, and the impact it has on practice," says Ms Clark.
"Each year, this event gives us new perspectives, new inspiration and of course a moment to gather and celebrate the end of another busy year."
The APC's annual Sansom Lecture is named after Emeritus Professor Lloyd Sansom AO, as a testament to his impact on pharmacy education in Australia over more than 4 decades.
More details on how to register will be available soon.
