
The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) is delighted to congratulate its Board Chair, Professor Sarah Roberts-Thomson who has been recognised as a part of the 2026 Kings Birthday Honours. Prof Roberts Thomson was presented the Order of Australia (AM) in the General Division, for her significant service to pharmaceutical medicine, academic leadership, and tertiary education.
Professor Roberts Thomson has been integral to APC as a Board Director since 2018. Elected as Board Chair in 2024, she provides stewardship across governance, accreditation, professional standards and workforce development, contributing to a clear and future‑focused direction for standards and assessment. Her leadership supports the ongoing strength of education programs, ensuring they remain robust, prepare graduates for practice, and keep pace with a complex and rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
Since joining APC as a Board Director in 2018, and serving as Deputy Chair from 2020, Professor Roberts-Thompon has made a sustained contribution to the work of the organisation, bringing thoughtful leadership and deep expertise across all aspects of APC’s broader role.
APC Chief Executive Officer Bronwyn Clark extended her congratulations to Professor Roberts-Thomson, acknowledging the significance of her leadership and service to pharmacy in Australia and to academia.
