Every 5 years we review these accreditation standards. We do this to ensure they stay relevant in contemporary healthcare. We use these standards to assess programs in Australia and internationally.
We hold public consultations and workshops with a wide range of stakeholders. The feedback we receive influences the decisions we make.
The revised standards will reflect contemporary practice and healthcare delivery as well as relevant emerging practice and technologies. The standards will be designed to be sustainable and adaptable.
The revised standards replace the 2020 Accreditation Standards for Pharmacy Programs.
The APC has established a Governance Group to guide the review of the accreditation standards.
A project Governance Group has been established to oversee the revision of the standard and will ensure that the process exhibits transparency, consistency, responsiveness, equity, inclusiveness, accountability and effectiveness.
